• An article was spread my popular media outlets that NFTs are all worthless!

• The source was dappgambl a crypto gambling platform that ran very biased reports.

• DappGambl only had 100 followers on X at the time and was only created a year ago.

Examining the dappGambl report these claims were based on, it was found that out of 73,000 NFT collections reviewed, 69,795 had a market cap of 0 eth. The report also highlighted environmental concerns, stating NFTs caused 162,000 metric tons of CO2, a fraction compared to other major CO2 contributors. The data analysis showed that while 18% of top NFT collections had a market cap of 0, less than 1% were valued above $6000, drawing parallels to the value of physical collectibles. Despite the negative portrayal, the report acknowledged NFTs' potential, but mainstream media seemed to overlook this. The overall sentiment suggests a misunderstanding of the NFT space, emphasizing that despite the skepticism, NFTs are here to stay.
